The other big change going on with me right now is that I am reevaluating what I want to do with feng shui, my artwork, and getting a job. Feng Shui: I really don't want to aggressively market myself to get feng shui consultations. I want to finish my projects, officially graduate from my class, create some minimal marketing things like a website and business cards, and then mostly just let people come to me. I want to help people that want help. I have so many other things I want to do and I don't want to focus on feng shui really, I just want it to be something I can offer people. (And make some money sometimes.) Artwork: This is the big one. As I'm looking around at all the art at the gallery on Sunday, I'm thinking about how much I want to be focusing on my artwork. Then I overhear one of the artists say to someone "I realized this was what I really wanted to be doing, so why wasn't I doing it?" It was as if she spoke my thoughts aloud. Earlier my parents had been asking me about me making prints of my collages and selling them, like at a festival, but I was pointing out that there are a lot of start-up costs for doing that, which I really don't have any money for. As we leave the gallery, my mother says to me that they will finance me so that I can sell some stuff because they'd really like to see me do something more with my artwork. Wow! So now I'm thinking of maybe making the Armadillo Chrstmas Bazaar a goal and trying to think about what all I need to do for that and if there are other things I want to make to sell and so forth. The only conflict is that I also really want to focus on my hands and I don't know if I have time to do hands and festival stuff. So I've got to figure that out. But I'm really excited about the idea of doing more art stuff. And really doing something with it. Job: I have decided that working some crazy tiring full time job makes no sense if I want to also do these other things. So I'm going to try to find a part time job that pays a little higher, so that I can have more time at home. But we also definitely need some money, so I need to find something. In Conclusion: I am going to get organized. I am going to create very specific lists of exactly what needs to get done for me to accomplish my goals. I am hopeful.
